Mumbai: Star Plus has released the latest music video for India Ke Top 1% – The Anil Kapoor Show, adding a lively musical dimension to the upcoming reality show produced by Banijay Asia.
The upbeat Qawwali-themed track features host Anil Kapoor and has been choreographed by renowned choreographer Ganesh Acharya. The release follows the unveiling of the show’s teaser and is expected to further build anticipation ahead of its premiere.
Talking about the song and his experience of performing Qawwali for the first time, Anil Kapoor said the musical sequence captures the energetic and entertaining character of the show. He described the experience as new and exciting and said he wanted his performance to reflect the distinctive personality of the programme.
Kapoor also praised Ganesh Acharya for understanding the concept and bringing his characteristic energy to the choreography. According to the actor, the collaboration made the performance an enjoyable experience.
The Qawwali track complements the show’s central idea of celebrating different ways of thinking. India Ke Top 1% will bring together 100 contestants, who will compete by demonstrating their understanding of everyday behaviour, thinking and perspectives.
The show’s promotional campaign has already generated interest around its tagline, “Baat Khatki Toh Jeet Pakki”, with the new music video adding another element to the build-up.
